During the month of March, the New York Public Library Association is mobilizing statewide book discussions of Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming, edited by Paul Hawkens. Local solar company SunCommon is supplementing those efforts by partnering with small local bookstores to get copies of the book in more people's hands, while also starting conversations about local solutions to global challenges posed by the warming climate.
Drawdown outlines the 100 most substantive solutions to global warming, as identified through rigorous scientific research, via short, readable essays. Within each solution, Drawdown describe its history, the carbon impact it provides, the relative cost and savings, the path to adoption, and how it works.
Join SunCommon at Rough Draft on Tuesday, March 19, for engaging conversations around how we each can individually and collectively impact climate change. SunCommon will offer a FREE copy of Drawdown, purchased from Rough Draft, to the first 20 attendees. Food and beverages are available for purchase.
