We’ve invited the authors of three new books to Rough Draft Bar & Books for a meet and greet event. Each author will have their own space to greet customers. Visitors to Rough Draft are encouraged to engage with the authors, learn about the books, and take home a signed copy if they wish, and of course sample some of Rough Draft’s delicious drinks and snacks!
This month’s featured authors are:
Brandy Ange is author of the supernatural fantasy series The Kingdom Come: Transgression, Abolition and Penance . She is also a published ghost writer, poet and essayist. She loves to drink copious amounts of coffee, hike, travel, talk about all things business, and cook for friends. She is a ravenous reader of classic literature, fantasy, and nonfiction.
Dennis Doherty's latest book, Liberty Call, is a novel based roughly on some of his experiences on a forward deployed (Japan) antisubmarine frigate during the Iran Hostage Crisis. Dennis teaches literature and creative writing at SUNY New Paltz. He is the author of four volumes of poetry: The Bad Man, Fugitive, Crush Test, and Black Irish and Why Read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, which is a combination of literary criticism and autobiography.
Hooker Avenue by Jodé Millman, is the second award-winning novel in the Queen City Crimes series, which sees the return of attorney Jessie Martin in upstate New York’s Hudson Valley. Jodé lives with her family in the Hudson Valley, where she is at work on the next installment of her Queen City Crimes series due out in Spring 2023—novels inspired by true crimes in the region she calls home.
