A virtual event hosted by Chronogram Conversations
Rough Draft Bar & Books will be selling copies of The Year of the Puppy along with other books written by Alexandra Horowitz
Few of us meet our dogs the day they’re born. The dog who will, eventually, become an integral part of our family, our constant companion and best friend, is born without us into a family of their own. A puppy’s critical early development into the dog we come to know is usually missed entirely.
Dog cognition researcher and author Alexandra Horowitz (Inside of a Dog, Our Dogs, Ourselves) aimed to change that with the adoption of her family’s new pup, Quiddity. In her new scientific memoir, The Year of the Puppy, she charts from birth to first birthday.
At this Chronogram Conversation, Horowitz, head of the Dog Cognition Lab at Barnard College, will talk with Chronogram editor Brian Mahoney about her new book, followed by audience Q&A. THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CHANGED TO A VIRTUAL FORMAT DUE TO WINTER WEATHER FORECASTING.
Anyone wishing to purchase one of Alexandra's books for pickup from Rough Draft in Uptown Kingston can email the shop to request a copy be set aside. Or you can purchase them for nationwide shipping from Rough Draft's online store using the following links:
