Hudson Valley Bloom: Make Personal Butterflies

  • Rough Draft Bar & Books 82 John Street Kingston, NY, 12401 United States (map)

Join Dakota Lane on Sunday, August 18th from 10 - 12 to make personal butterflies: Craft your own butterfly to celebrate your journey of transformation and renewal.

Hudson Valley Bloom, funded by Arts Mid-Hudson, offers free expressive art and writing workshops and creative events throughout Kingston this summer for all ages, led by author and artist, Dakota Lane.

The project brings together participants at various Kingston venues (The Broadway Bubble, LQBTQ Community Center, Rough Draft Bar & Books, and the Old Dutch Church) to create works that integrate word and image and celebrate unity, diversity, and growth, culminating in a poetry and butterfly garden exhibit at the Old Dutch Church.

Dakota Lane is an award-winning author and transmedia artist and offers word and image workshops for self-expression and community growth throughout the Hudson Valley.

For more info, follow @hudsonvalleybloom and on Eventbrite. Events are open to all and free. Youth may participate with supervision. Participants can either just show up or secure a free ticket through Eventbrite.
