Join us for a special children’s story hour with author Carly Cheriff - and her banjo - for an hour of fun as we explore the Hudson River's science, geography, and history all through MUSIC!  Learn how one voice (and banjo) can significantly help to protect our planet! Carly’s book, My Hudson River, will be available for purchase ($32) and signing. 50% of all book sales will be donated to Clearwater, Pete Seeger’s organization, for their awesome work protecting and restoring our river.

About Carly Cheriff
For the last 5 years, Carly has worked as a music teacher at a public elementary school for students with disabilities in Brooklyn, NY. Carly is now attending an NYU masters program to pursue her lifelong dream of a career in Music Therapy. Her love of Pete Seeger and the Hudson River began when she worked as an educator at Hudson River Park- where she taught New Yorkers about the river and the animals that live there. She believes strongly in Pete Seeger's mission of using folk music to bring people together and to spread awareness of important issues.
